The State of South Carolina offers Medically Indigent Assistance and Care Services for those who qualify. Recipients must live in South Carolina, be a U.S. citizen, have a low income (200% or less of the federal poverty level), and little or no insurance. Recipients may NOT be on Medicaid or get other government help.
If you or someone you care about qualifies for the Indigent Care Services, applications may be completed at the hospital where services are provided, at county health departments, or by calling 864.487.2792. Proof of income and social security card are required upon applying.
