CTC Paving in Cherokee County 2025-2026

Cherokee County does not have funding to date to be able to perform larger infrastructure projects. Our County’s roads and bridges department performs maintenance on existing infrastructure. We were able to approve $873,600.00 this budget year to be able to more adequately maintain the ditch lines, stormwater infrastructure, smaller asphalt repairs, and gravel road maintenance on 400 miles of county-owned infrastructure as well as complete a few traffic calming projects. This was a huge win in road maintenance for our county.

The Cherokee Transportation Committee is an arm of the state that is responsible for working with residents and local municipalities to select and approve roads for paving and larger infrastructure improvement projects.

By working closely with this Committee this year, Cherokee County will have more than 7 miles of county-owned asphalt roads touched by infrastructure improvements this year and over $600,000.00 approved for these projects. This is the most allocated to Cherokee County by the CTC in several years, and we consider this another huge win for our county!

The below streets have been approved this year so far through the Cherokee Transportation Committee for improvements. These improvements are either through paving the entire road, full depth patching to ensure correction of base issues in failing areas of the road, or a combination of the two.
