Procurement provides centralized procurement services to all Cherokee County departments while ensuring contracts are awarded to the most responsible bidders, taking into consideration price, quality, performance and the time specified in proposals for the performance of contracts. Vendor Insurance Requirements
All contractors who are doing business with Cherokee County must meet a standard insurance requirement of:
- $1 million in General Liability Coverage
- $500,000 in Workersâ Compensation Insurance
Contractor shall furnish Cherokee County with certificates of insurance and with original endorsements effecting coverage required. The certificates and endorsements for each insurance policy are to be signed by a person authorized by that insurer to bind coverage on its behalf. Cherokee County reserves the right to require complete certified copies of all required insurance policies at any time.
