Cherokee County Clerk of Court Brandy W. McBee was elected in 2003.
McBee was appointed to the S.C. Access to Justice Commission by state Supreme Court Chief Justice Donald W. Beatty in 2019. McBee also serves on the Cherokee Childrenâs Home board and delivers Meals on Wheels when not in court. McBee is a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and considers it a true honor to serve the people of her home county.
The Clerk of Court is a constitutional officer elected for a term of four years. By statute, the Clerk of Court has charge of the courthouse, which includes the opening and closing of the building. The Clerk of Court is the official record keeper for Common Pleas, General Sessions and Family Courts to include payments, docketing and juror management.
