Adopt With Us. Save Lives.
At Cherokee County Animal Shelter & Rescue, we know a thing or two about making connections and saving lives. Animal homelessness is a community problem that requires a community solution. Join us in helping the animals of Cherokee County.
Ready for a new BFF? Adopt with us!Â
What you need to know
- Approved adopters may bring their other dogs for meet and greets before we finalize adoptions; however, those dogs are not allowed to come with people to look on the adoption floor.
- We do have a meet and greet room for you to meet your new furever friend to ensure it is going to be a great fit for each of you!
- Adopted animals must be transported safely inside a vehicle. Â
- Adoptions take time. Please ensure you arrive at least 45 minutes before closing to meet our dogs.
- Please make sure you bring a valid form of ID.
- The Animal Shelter does not have any kids to test the dogâs behavior with. We always recommend supervising children around dogs/puppies. Sometimes our dogs/puppies are active and might be too big for small children, and sometimes the children can be too rough around them.
