Cherokee County Animal ShelterâŊknows that surrendering your animal is a very difficult decision, but sometimes – it is the only one to make. If you choose to surrender your animal, you’ll be asked to complete a surrender contract. Your signature on this contract represents a permanent decision on your part. This legally binding contract gives full ownership of the animal toâŊthe Cherokee County Animal Shelter. This allows us to provide veterinary care and down the road, legally adopt out the animal to a new home in the future.âŊÂ
Due to our mission to remain a no-kill shelter, we may have days where space is limited at the animal shelter. Please call the animal shelter at 864-487-0161, and we can arrange a date and time for you to bring your animal.Â
